Not far from the day when a silver shuttle with bright advertising on the hull and tourists on board will furrow our galaxy or even go beyond the Milky Way. After all, today both flights in zero gravity on the IL-76, and trips to near space on the MiG-29, and even tours to the ISS are available for earthlings. Flights to MIG-29 fighters into the stratosphere are officially carried out only in Russia, at the Sokol air base in Nizhny Novgorod. Such an adventure will not be offered anywhere else in the world! Such flights are included in the route “Beyond the horizon line.” The pre-flight program was implemented on the basis of the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarin Star City. You will train where real astronaut pilots are preparing for flights and participants in the set of the film “Challenge” passed their space school. You will have many reasons to be proud of yourself!

StarTown
Star Town is one of the most important points on the “space” map of Russia. It is here that astronaut pilots are preparing for flights. Participants of the tour to Zvezdny Gorodok will get acquainted with its history and the history of creating the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yu.A. Gagarin, they will see unique objects of the technical territory where cosmonauts are directly prepared for space flights, including a full-size analogue of the Mir orbital station and the Soyuz spacecraft simulator hall. Excursionists will learn how astronauts are preparing for the flight, which is included in their diet upon returning to the ground and much more
Cosmonaut training center
Heart of the star town Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarin. Visiting the center is an incredible experience and an unforgettable experience. Visitors will be shown modifications of spacesuits, space food, the most complex simulators on which astronauts are engaged, a hydrolaboratorium – a pool repeating the interior of the ISS, where space conquerors practice actions in zero gravity, a full-sized model of the Mir station. The Centre has two centrifuges: TsF-7 and TsF-18. The scale of the TsF-18 is really impressive: the radius of rotation is 18 meters, the total mass of the rotating parts is 305 tons. Due to the peculiarities of the design, even one person can drive in the TsF-18, simply pushing with his hand. The maximum “power” of the overload created by TsF-18 is 30 units, which is incompatible with life. Previously, when the requirements for astronauts were much tougher, overloads did not exceed 12 units. Modern training takes place in a more gentle mode – overloads are up to 8 units. All future astronauts, including tourists, must “spin” on a centrifuge before flying (tourists – for 3 minutes)
Centrifuge TsA-18
Rotation 3 minutes. This is one of the mandatory elements of pre-flight preparation. Training shows how a person copes with overloads inevitable during space missions
Flights are performed at any time of the year on weekdays of the week. Participants over 18 years old are allowed to fly

This is the only place in the world where tourists can fly supersonic fighters
Flying to the stratosphere is a real adventure! At a speed of over 2000 km/h, the MiG-29UB fighter will rise into near space. From there you can clearly see that our planet is round! There the sun shines differently, and the sky is also different, comic. To carry out a flight to the stratosphere, a two-seater modification of the MiG-29UB fighter is used. The flight is divided into two parts. After the car leaves the stratosphere, no less interesting begins – an experienced test pilot works out a complex of aerobatics figures at supersonic speed. The tourist independently determines which of the elements will be included in the program: “Nesterov’s loop,” “bell,” “oblique loop,” “inverted flight,” “knife,” “combat turn,” “barrels,” “turns.” The pilot constantly keeps in touch with the tourist and corrects the flight program, focusing on his well-being. By agreement with the pilot, an occasional transfer of control of the aircraft to the tourist is possible. In 45 minutes of flight, a person will experience a storm of emotions. Flight to the stratosphere – a reason for pride and impression for life!
